The KBA coaching team are all dedicated and committed to coach, train and develop effective training programs to help each individual student achieve their very best in their badminton goal. With coaches’ combined experience of 30 years in teaching badminton, KBA rest assures that your time in training is highly valued.

In conjunction with Kathmandu District Badminton Association (KDBA), KBA develops certified coaches. They are experts in creating a safe and positive learning experience for all students.

Our Coaches

Uday Kumar Shrestha

(Head of Player’s Development Program)

Mr. Shrestha has already served as the Chief coach at the National Sports Council and has the experience of coaching national teams in 22 international tournaments including the World Championship, Thomas Cup qualifiers, Asian Games and South Asian Games. Shrestha represented the country in the Asia, SA Games and Asian Badminton Championship in his playing career.

Bal Krishna Thapa

(Head Coach)

Mr. Thapa has been coaching since last 20 years after completing Olympic Solidarity Course. Before that he was a ranked National Player who has represented for country in national and international level since 1994.

Purusottam Dhakal

(Coach)

Purusottam Dhakal (Coach): Mr. Dhakal is BWF certified Level 1 coach with coaching experience of 10 years. He too was a ranked National Player who has played for country in national and international level since 1996
